Happy Birthday too youuu..
Happy BIrhtday tooo YOUUU
Happy BIRTTTTHHHDDAAAYYYYY toooooo AAiiyyEEE JeeaaannNNnnnnnn..
HAPPY BIRTHDAY tooooooo YOU!!

Yesterday was my Aunt's 61st Purplicious Birthday bash.. ( she had a PINK one last year!) Her theme parties are wonderful! Everything was purple!

Here's a Birthday Picture of her and Ryan Yuen giving her a great BIG Birthday hug!

Here's all the Khong sisters.. all together taking a picture ( we HOPED that they didn't blink in at least one of the pictures..) they have a tendency for at least one of them to blink in one of the pictures taken and they'll be quite upset!! ^_^ ahahaha

Cutting cake! My cousin, Crystal Chan, who is a wonderful chef and pastry and cakes (chef as well?), created this Purple masterpiece. The cake inside was the first I've ever tasted.. Red Velvet Angel cake or something like that. It was a RED in colour butter cake! I have to admit. That was one of the Moistest and most yummilicious red cakes i've ever tasted.. Okay butter cakes!

and on the other layer, it was a coffec and chocolate chip goodness cake. I don't think she has a name for it yet. lol. But it was really yummy! Much better than the overdone creamed cakes we have in the market these days!

This is the present which I picked out for AJ. look at the sparkly jewels. I stuck that on by myself. okay with help from Vics and my mum... hehe.

And what's a PARTY and what's pictures without my DARLING JAden???
what's more he's in a SUPERMAN outfit. he's JUST TOOOOOO CUTE!!!

How to Stuff a Bolster..

Posted by the Princess~ on
at least.. what was left of it...

Sometimes, when you love something so much, and you get so used to is. You get so afraid of fixing it because well.. you don't think there's anything wrong with it!

Infact you think that it's the most perfect thing in the world... even when EVERYONE ( except a few who keeps stealing it ) tells you that you should THROW THE MISERABLE THING AWAY!!!

Well this holiday, I took the time out.. woke up really early. ( I have to ! I've got so much things I need to complete before the day is done!) and decided to clean up the front yard and my room.

Cleaning up my room was messier than it was.. and in the end, i didn't have enough time to do so after a shopping trip, some yummilicious xiao long pau, shopping trip for a birthday present, and a purplicious birthday Party of My Aunt jean.

So while cleaning my room, I decided that TODAY would be the day where I would STUFF my Poor Neglected and almost non existant Bolster with Cotton.

however, as my bolster, made from REAL cotton, mind you, not those cheap yucky HARD cotton.synthetic crap they have these days, was made by my mum er.. mebbe 10 years ago.. or more.. was never rightfully stuffed again after the first initial stuffing. So the Cotton, over the last... decade or so.. had disintegrated and left the bolster with a texture much like a fluffy teddy bear.

Unfortunately, this 'fur' is airborne... so before my operation could begin.. it HAD to be cleansed and fluffed properly.. Lest I sneeze and sniffle all the way through.

so you can be assured my whole yard was FULL of cotton fluff floating around everywhere by the time Iwas done beating it silly.

After that ordeal.... which was very fun and enjoayble.. surprisingly.. but not so for my mum who was quite upset with the mess I created.. I snipped poor bolster up...

Found my Natural Cotton... and stuffed my slinky Bolster...

Stuff Stuff Stuff... The cotton is sooooo natural that it had bits and pieces of twigs and dried leaves on it still! had to sort through those for a bit before my nose became all runny with the excess cotton.... Then I gave up and just continue stuffing!

This was the original Cotton that was left in my bolster (the ones that did not disintegrate yet.)

Compare it with what it USED to be... a huge Fluffy Ball of Cotton! This is the replacement.

Then my bolster went from a size Negative 2 to a FUll bodied huggable Wonderful Squuezable and 100 times greater than usual Bolster.
not to say that my boslter wasn't Great in the first place. which by the way it was, but sometimes you need to get out of your comfort zone and realise.. maybe things CAN be better!
i'm glad I stuffed by bolster.. ( but my fishes and turtles might disagree) but I still need to get used to it being sooooo.... ROund!
muaksz! ^_^

The day Malaysia Decided.

Today is the 9th of March 2008.

Euphoria has passed over most Malaysians living in the urban areas where they have finally realised that their vote COUNTS. Even if it's just one.

We can beat the phantom voters, we can beat the postal voters, heck even Sammy Vellu ( to which my friend and fellow station master Puay Gaik is Extremely grateful and pleased about. She has a personal grudge against the EX-Minister of Transport)

My last post was written by me at 8 am in the morning. It was a momment where I was the station master at the SS15 Masjid School in Subang Jaya ( together with PuayGaik) and it was a VERY empowering experience.

As I have written in my previous posts, IF i were in a FAcebook Application, I would have leveled up tremendously. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to update since then. We, PG and I were appointed as Station Masters for a school, as the Head Of Station Masters, Yee Weng, who also happens to be a senior from my alma mater and a fellow legal eagle, decided that we could help out.

PG and I were more than enthusiatic to help out as we were all ready to wave the DAP flag in aid of Hannah Yeoh. Actually, I would have helped irregardless who the candidate was, but I'm truly glad that Hannah is such a capable person who WILL leade SUbang to a new area.

As a Station Master, it wasn't difficult. But it was difficult to get the available people to help out. I have to say that my volunteers were made up of Wonderful people who cared deepely about what they were doing, and as this was a volunteer job, it meant their time, money and their efforts to do something for the betterment of their futures.

My ex classmates, their mums, and other people whom I've never met before clicked easily as they were instantaneously matched by their common interest. TO deny BN their 2/3 Majority. to which we DID! Congratulations!

Throughout the whole affair, it was very upligting as many people from all walks of life came to us, talked to us, gave us water and food as they passed by, they honked their support waved at us.. JUST because we were in the Camp they were supporting. Although it may have looked bleak. Because the BN tent was full with people, WIfi and everything else that they wanted, OUr DAP tent was filled with HEART, if not people. They left us with words of encouragement, left us with wisdom, and I even made friends from other parties, PAs, Keadilan, and they sat down and talked to me throughtout the 13hour affair.

I have a deeper understanding of Our Subang. Our subang which I am Proud to say that I have had a hand to shape in the coming future. the date 8 March 2008 WILL be remembered in Malaysian History.

Penang, Kedah, Selangor, Kelantan, and Perak was taken by the Opposition.

I hope they use their newfound power wisely.

As for me. I will be upping my levels slowly but surely.

(heck. my mum wants me to learn Chinese so that I'll be of MORE help) ;)

Your little Kitten, who's gotten just a bit older and wiser.....

8th March 2008. Malaysia Votes for their Rights

Posted by the Princess~ on
It’s 6 am in the morning as I wake up and look out my window. Today is the 8th of march 2008. It is the day where potential candidates put their fates in the hands and the votes of the public at large.

The thing is that will the hopefuls become the next leaders of society?

A new dawn is slowly approaching I agree with most people where they say that the time for change is now.. but I doubt that it will come today. It will come slowly but surely with each person slowly changing their perceptions. It’s not easy. No doubt. But hopefully, like how the Magician pulled the rabbit out of the Hat, ( Sophie’s World) perhaps they’ll realize one day that they are not just standing on the fur of the rabbit. They may question things that really are. And not just accept things for what they seem to be.

It’s disheartening to see Malaysians who show pride in their country, the country that doesn’t seem to care about what they are doing, be so proud as to show off their IC No. and that they are so proud to be a Malaysian. You should be Proud to be a Malaysian, not arrogant. There is a difference.
But how will the opposition fare this time around?

Will they cause an uproar to overthrow the Barisan? It seems that the Oppositions are gaining momentum, but again, their efforts are stifled by the largely biased media giants who proclaim over and over again that of course. Vote for Harmony, vote for Malaysia, Vote for Barisan Nasional.

I read the newspapers a while back and sad to say when Our Prime Minister said that the Chinese need to maintain their vote in MCA so that they’ll have a voice in Barisan, a voice in the government, instead of a voice in the hallways, show just how much the state of politics are in the Country. Just because they say that they are in Parliament doesn’t mean that they are truly that they are heard. This is true. You can even see it in existing MCA. They state that the Chinese should not be split in their votes as they are only 25% and that we should be united in what we stand for.

So does that mean that the Prime minister is telling us exactly what we already know? That the Prime Minister does not represent all the races! It doesn’t matter what party wins. But as a Prime Minister, you should be able to ensure that everyoneone who is your Rakyat is well protected. Not just yourself. Not just your Race. Not just your People. But ALL THE PEOPLE whom you swore to protect. The People that give their lives serving the country and to you. This is the people to whom you are supposed to ensure are safe from harm.

I’m a station Master for the Very first time in my Life. I have to say that I was not actively vocal in Politics but it is the situation, the necessity of the times that requires some change. I refuse to be a Frog in Boiling water. I simply refuse to be boiled until it’s too late to do anything about it. Some might already say that the water is already boiling and that we’re already in Hot soup. If that’s the sad case that is happening to us right now. Shouldn’t we at least try to jump out of the Pot instead of sitting there calmly waiting to be served as the Main dish?

I don’t know about you. I don’t know about the rest of Malaysia. But I do know some Frogs who are desperately trying to escape. And they’ll be creating the means of surviving.
So the question now is.

Where will they be going? It’ll be unknown, it’ll be scary. But like Hem and Haw, if you wait for your cheese to run out. What will happen next? The answer is obvious.

If you have no idea what I’m talking about, please do go and read Who moved my Cheese by Dr. Spencer Johnson. It’s a wonderful book I read when I was in College. It gave me a new look and lease on life.

I will look for my cheese, thank you very much.

For my collection

Today, after a group outing to Langkawi, Chun Chieh bought me the cutest selection of Absolut Vodka bottles!!
From right it's Mandarin, rasberry, vanilla, pear, citron, ruby red, original and kurant.
SO wonderful! Now my set is complete! I don't know if there are other's available but it's just too darn cute and perfect for my vodka collection!
thanks so much. Muakz.

Please bear with me while I vent out my frustrations of my peers.

They say that Malaysia n Youths do not care about the state of politics today.

That politics is for our fathers.. and for the old people who are jaded who think that they can change the world.

But today I see a FEW young Malaysians out there who is trying desperately to change the world.

I'm sorely dissapointed that when I attend the Polling Agent beriefing at Damansara Uptown to find only a handful off younger generation people and the brunt of the older generation, willing to give up their time, the efforts and their money to put better the world.

but where are the youths?

As I write this, there are many out there struggling to make Malaysia into a Malaysia that they want to live in. A better place? a better future? Even if it's not for themselves, but for their children?

I believe.. TRULY that the majority of the younger generation out there are busy sipping their Starbucks coffee. listening to the new songs on their expensive Ipods, surfing the internet on their fancy smanchy laptops at chic cafe's belting out things like.. "Malaysia sucks. If only I can migrate i would do that in an instant. "

I would love to believe that things are different. I know that there are a minority out there that arent like that. Yes. But most of the people I know.. people I care about.. my friends, family and loved ones, ARE unfortuantely like that.

I feel sorry for the older generation who is out there right at this momment putting their time, efforts and sweat into something that they can call a better place to live in. They do this not only for themselves, but for their children and their children.

They've tasted far more bitterness and salt than we have. and I'm pretty sure that they do not want their kids to taste the same. They want a better future, a better Malaysia. but it seems that along the way... their kids lost sight of what is important and they decided to belive that whatever they do will not make a difference.. and go for a holiday instead of lending Malaysia their vote.

that is so wrong.

A long time ago, the world was different. The world we know today and the world of yesterday are completely different worlds. It is through strenght, courage, and a lot of hard work that made Malaysia the way it is today. And that includes EVERYONE. Malaysia needs to be moving forward, not backward, and the only way is by everyone contributing their efforts to want to evolve. To want to take that first step.

But it seems that the Younger generation is avoiding this.

Who says politics is a taboo subject?

I do. I'm dissapointed with people. It's very sad. Had I never discussed it with them I would have never known. Therefore, is ignorance bliss? Perhaps... perhaps.

Malaysia is crying for her lost children. will they ever find her?
